Website design
Banimo website
Website design for an AI-first app studio in Gothenburg
banimo.net, designed and built: a logo intro, a 3D sphere of app icons, a film for each app, and a contact page set in the harbour.

The problem
A studio with 11 apps needed one site that presents each app with the same care, explains the studio, and stays easy to extend as new apps launch.
What it does
banimo.net presents the studio, every app it publishes, a bilingual blog, and a way to get in touch. Each app gets its own page, store links, terms, and privacy policy, all from one template, so adding an app means adding its data.
How it's built
Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS v4, with Geist fonts. WebGL draws the water on the homepage and the contact page. Prisma with SQLite stores short links and invitations, sharp builds preview images, and a GeoLite2 database adds the location to link clicks.
Key features
Motion and layout
- A logo intro: the mark builds itself, then docks into the navigation, and the page fades in. It is skipped for 15 minutes once you browse within the site
- A card-fan hero of app icons, scroll-driven sections, and a full-width phone carousel with a lens-warp effect that you can drag
- /apps shows every app icon on a turning 3D sphere you can drag to spin, with a plain grid next to it
- The contact page is Gothenburg's harbour at the real local time, with WebGL water and Karlatornet. Your note folds into a paper boat and leaves through your mail app
App pages
- All 11 app pages render from one showcase template; each app's data (category, screenshots, store links) lives in a single file
- Each app page opens with a self-playing film built from the app's story: a cold open, the problem, the app, the result, real screens, and an end card
- Shared legal-page layout with a table of contents for terms, privacy, and data deletion
Content and SEO
- Blog in English and Swedish, with tag pages and an RSS feed for each language
- Metadata, Organization JSON-LD, a sitemap, and robots rules
Studio tools behind the site
- Short links with a separate link preview for each link, and click analytics that count chat-app preview bots separately from real clicks
- Personal invitation pages with view and click tracking, an admin dashboard, and a token-protected API that an AI agent can use to create pages
- Private routes are kept out of search three ways: robots rules, a noindex meta tag, and an X-Robots-Tag header
